1. Questions: Is the book written in English or is it a translation?
On the title page, it says that the book was 'Translated by ...' so I take it that the book was originally written in another language. Maybe once it left France, it was then translated into English.
My guess is that the book was translated because the book was a first hand account, that's what the prologue said. Latifa is also not the real name of the author.
I thought that this book was originally written in a different language and then translated into English. One reason why I think this is because this book was a diary from a teenage girls point of view in a whole other country.
This book was definately written in a different languageand eventually translated into English. This book was written in the perspective of a teenage girl living in Afganistan, so it would be a little weird if it were originally written in English.
i believe the book was translated into english because since it was written from the POV of an Afghan girl, it must have been originally written in a foreign language.
